Mission - Vision
MISSION
The Tan Seva Project aims to deepen the capacities of licensed and unlicensed caregivers in service to the transformative process of the end-of-life experience. Tan Seva Project will provide and facilitate inspired learning opportunities to deepen the practices of caregivers, as well as occasions for nurturing the self-care of the caregiver, all of which promote turning toward the sacred aspects of dying. Tan Seva Project recognizes the importance of the holistic health and self-awareness of the caregiver who desires to enter into the transformative end-of-life relationship.
VISION
The Tan Seva Project honors the visionary spirit, labors, talents and ingenuity that licensed and unlicensed caregivers bring to their communities. For this reason, the Tan Seva Project is dedicated to presenting ground breaking learning opportunities supported by innovative teaching methods, in order to facilitate the development of all those individuals who are working to enhance and enrich healthcare practices on a personal, community and global level. The Tan Seva Project is guided by the visionary teachings of the Metta Institute, the best clinical practices in end of life care as defined by the End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) and wisdom practices that cultivate the awareness that we are not separate. Acting as a bridge, the Tan Seva Project invites families and the agencies that serve them during the end of life process to turn toward compassion, integrity and wisdom in their practices.
